This page explains how to delete your DarkTrafficIQ account and the personal data associated with it, in accordance with App Store and Google Play account-deletion requirements and applicable privacy laws.

Option 1 — Delete in the App (Recommended)

1. Open the DarkTrafficIQ app on your iPhone or Android device.
2. Sign in with your email and password.
3. Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
4. Re-enter your password to confirm.
5. You will receive an email confirming the deletion is scheduled.

Option 2 — Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot access the app, send a deletion request from the email address associated with your DarkTrafficIQ account to [email protected] with the subject line "DarkTrafficIQ Account Deletion Request." We will verify your identity (typically by sending a 6-digit code to that email) before processing the request.

60-Day Grace Period

When you request deletion, your account is immediately marked for deletion and your sessions are revoked. Your account then enters a 60-day grace period during which:

• You can sign in with your email and password to cancel the deletion. You will be asked to confirm a 6-digit code sent to your email.
• Your account does not appear in the app's normal flows; you will not receive risk alerts during this period.
• If you do not cancel within 60 days, deletion proceeds automatically.

What We Delete

After the grace period, the following are removed from our active production systems:

• Your email, password hash, profile, and account preferences;
• Apple Sign-In identifier (if applicable);
• The phone numbers you added for protection;
• Your Call Detail Record (CDR) history and risk events;
• Your push-notification tokens and registered devices;
• Your active sessions and login records associated with your account;
• Your subscription entitlement records held by HACC (Apple/Google retain their own purchase records).

Encrypted backup copies are purged on our standard backup-rotation schedule (typically within 35 days after primary-system deletion).

What We May Retain

We may retain limited information after deletion where required by law or for legitimate business purposes, including:

• Financial and tax records related to subscription purchases, for the period required by tax law (typically up to 7 years).
• Abuse and fraud-prevention records (e.g., a hashed identifier indicating a prior abuse case), to protect the Service.
• Aggregated, de-identified data that cannot reasonably be linked back to you.
• Legal-hold data required to be preserved under court order or law.

Cancel an Active Subscription

Deleting your DarkTrafficIQ account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. To stop billing, cancel your subscription before deleting:

• iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → DarkTrafficIQ → Cancel Subscription.
• Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → DarkTrafficIQ → Cancel.
